Cold Toffy

We tacked Toffy up and took her outside to the back pen. We didn't go to a larger area on account of the paddock being muddy. The back pen however is sand. The person who decided to do that was a genius (Terry).
We had a different saddle on, had the back cinch a little tighter, and were ready to go.
Aleythia did ground work; walk, trot, canter, backing up, and turning on the hindquarters and forehand.
She did it all very well.
Aleythia got on and did flexing until she felt Toffy relax a little bit. We pet her a lot too.
We walked around for a bit, and then I asked Aleythia whether she felt comfortable enough to trot, and how she felt Toffy was doing. We did end up trotting.
It went sorta like this.
I would ask for the trot and start jogging. She sped up her walk. We stopped, and pet her.
Again I asked for the trot. Her walk was a little faster than the previous. Stopped and praised her for the effort.
Asked for the trot again. This time she did trot. A couple of steps later...
we stopped, told her what a wonderful girl she was and Aleythia got off.
The worst part about the day was the weather.

Such beautiful weather.
NO!! It was wet, snowing, and blowing. These pictures are from Saturday.... Four days ago when it was almost 80 degrees.
This is what the weather is actually like.

Though I've finally got pictures of the fillies being a little crazy.
Terry let them out into that back pen and they were going crazy. I think in part because Toffy wasn't with them and also because of funky weather.

I felt a need to blow up the ones were Coffie is rearing and Dash is in the way
