Today, Aleythia made me work with the fillies all by myself. It was alright though. I was done b 4:30 which was when they showed the Kentucky Derby on TV. Which I didn't get to see.
I worked with Dash first. I reminded her of the rain jacket and she was pretty good. And the we did the plastic bag. Actually it was more like a huge trash bag. Like the size of a love couch. I lunged her between me and the bag. It took a while, but eventually she as fine with walking less than an inch away from it. Then Terry put a pan of feed on the bag, I let her go, and waited to see the show.
Dash wanted the food, but she wasn't sure if it was worth it.
Toffy was amazing. The best part of that ride was her backing up. Like seriously. Have you ever watched a reining horse do a back up? If you haven't you need to, if you have you'll have a near accurate description of what Toffy was doing. I would pick up the reins, lean forward to free up her hindquarters, and put my legs forward to create energy by her soldiers. She backed up just like a reining horse. A little slower, but just as easy and light. It was awesome!
Frosty and Coffie wouldn't stand still. So that's what we worked on. Just standing there. They have way too much go, and not enough woah.
And I'm watching Doctor Who. Another thing that if you haven't seen you need to.
