I saddled Dash up, stuck the bag in my pocket, and couldn't get her out the door.
When I did get her out the door she didn't want to follow me. I took the bag out of my pocket and placed it inside the barn by the door, and decided that maybe it's because we've been doing the same thing for a really long time, and she's sick of it.
Got her into the back pen and did a little bit of turning on the front and back feet. You should see that girl pivot. She is amazing. She just plants that back foot like nobody's business.
I just walked. We did one rein stops, flexing laterally and vertically (side to side and tucking her nose in), and that was about it. We didn't work with them for very long.
Aleythia worked with Frosty while I did Dash.
And I rode Coffie too. Pretty much the same thing. We trotted too. I rode Coffie when Aleythia was finishing up with Toffy.I am really sad that I can't get a hold of the woman we got these fillies from. I usually email her, but her email stopped working. I like to let her know how they're doing.
One thing to really look forward to when school ends is a photoshoot!! I have a friend who is quite good with a camera, (you can find her on facebook. Just search Mariah Nichole Photography) and I asked her if she would like to take pictures of Aleythia, me, and horses.
She said "1) I'm terrified of horses. 2) Let's do it!"
It definitely promises to be entertaining. I told her that I would have to help her get over her fear of horses and if I was going to do that I would use my youngest horses for the photoshoot.
She said that if there was any way for her to get over her fear of horses it would be with semi-young horses.
I can't wait!
